from Fred Ritchin's statement: "Art in the Digital Age"

...If analog indicates the coherence of continuity, digital is discrete, questioning conventional attitudes towards logic, rationality, good and evil, the "laws" of nature. We have already entered the Digital Age although it will take some time, or what might better be called various kinds of time, for us to know it.

Until we do manage to reconceive ourselves and the world in which we live, we face the added peril of false certainties, the Newtonian expectations that the apple can only drop. This exhibition may be seen as early intimations of uncertainty.
